 Health Careers Academy Teacher

Having spent a significant part of her childhood in Sonoma County, Musetta returned to her hometown of Santa Rosa to be a Registered Nurse. Musetta has worked in a variety of roles in the clinical and education setting. She currently is a Hospital Supervisor at Kaiser, Santa Rosa, and the Program Coordinator/Teacher for the high school healthcare courses associated with the Santa Rosa Junior College: Summer Health Careers Institute; Health Careers Academy. She attended Santa Rosa Junior College for her RN degree. She went on to receive a B.S. in Nursing from Sonoma State University. Lastly, her MBA in Nonprofit Management was received at Mills College.

Professional Passion: to equip and empower others through healthcare and education. Presently, Musetta connects with high school students through mentoring relationships and healthcare education pathways. She loves to create community and experiences for students that foster discovery of their life interests and passions.

Musetta's favorite education failure (in retrospect!) – flunked Chemistry twice in high school...and almost everything else senior year!

Musetta's favorite education achievements – Margaret Trussell Award as "The Most Outstanding Student Nurse" in her nursing class, and in graduate school, Goldman Sachs Business Scholar. And yes, she pulled off an "A" in college Chem!

Musetta's favorite piece of wisdom gleaned from all that education – She aspires “to experience my authentic self again...and again...and again.”

Musetta's Favorite place to waste time: on the river paddle boarding, on a Pilates mat, with her beloved community, in her cozy cottage watching Batman AGAIN!
